After making a daring escape from a rehabilitation zoo, Frankie, a squirrel known for his clever moves, returns to his woodland home. He discovers from his not-so-bright best friend, Cody, a porcupine with a knack for street cons, that during his absence, the entire forest had been stripped of acorns by The A.C.O.R.N.S. Institute (Alternative Cosmetic Oils for Regenerative Natural Skin-care). Not a single acorn was spared. With winter fast approaching, this presents a dire situation for all the forest's creatures. Thus, Frankie must infiltrate the newly-built, high-tech, rodent-resistant A.C.O.R.N.S. Processing Plant to reclaim the acorns! Despite the heist seeming nearly impossible, a successful mission would not only secure his forest friends' survival but also offer Frankie the opportunity to win back the affection of Lola, a local performing squirrel and his true love. Unfortunately, Lola has been disappointed by Frankie's unfulfilled promises too many times before. Supported by Frankie's former mentor, Mr. Bellwood, a prosperous badger, Frankie and Cody gather a team of elite experts from across the forest. The team includes Fly Boy, a bat renowned for his proficiency with explosives; Raitch, an albino snake who excels at computer hacking and never lets her lack of limbs be a hindrance; Edsy, a diminutive frog with the exceptional ability to freeze himself for extended periods unharmed; a germophobic French rat named Liam, who can contort his skeleton to fit into any space; Pango and Lin, a father-daughter duo of Chinese pangolins, recognized as the best diggers in the forest; and Bellwood's hedgehog butler, Oscar, who skillfully procures anything the crew requires. As winter looms ahead, Frankie and his crew have merely three days to organize and pull off this extraordinary heist. Upon learning that the acorn processing has been rescheduled to happen earlier, and with Lola opting out of the plan, Frankie and his team find themselves one member short. Facing such high stakes, Frankie and his crew of Animal Crackerz embark on what could be the greatest heist in the history of the animal kingdom!
